Supermarket Sweep host Dale Winton died of natural causes, says his agent Jan Kennedy. The police previously stated that the death was not suspicious but still unexplained, so an expertise was required. And it only confirmed that there was nothing suspicious about the host’s death. His friends knew that his health had got weaker and weaker years before he died. Close friend Gloria Hunniford said: “Dale had a lot of things going wrong, he had pain with arthritis, he had a heart complaint, he had a chest infection, and we all know how the winter affected that. He had asthma as well.”
Winton was a staple on television sets in the 1990s with Supermarket Sweep. He hosted the show for 8 years and then when it came back on screens with a reboot in 2007 after a six-year break.
