Actress Chloë Grace Moretz, the star of new gay conversion therapy movie The Miseducation of Cameron Post, says that this issue was close to her heart because she saw her two gay siblings struggling to accept who they are. Speaking to the BBC, Moretz, explained that she was raised in the “very Christian baptist town” of Rome, Georgia, and were taught to ‘pray the gay away’. However they were much happier than most gay people from such conservative surrounding, because when they came out as gay to their mom, she was incredibly accepting, supportive, loving and, as Chloe says, progressive. As for Chloe herself, of course she was shocked to find out her brothers were gay, who would not be? But she was even more shocked to find out how much they struggled and hated themselves for it because it should have never been this way, love is love and any person in this world deserves it.
