Actor Richard Madden was mocked and called gay for his passion to acting

Madden, who was brought up in the village of Elderslie, near Glasgow in Scotland, worked at a call center where colleagues mocked them for attending acting classes. Billy McDougall, an ex-colleague from the call center, told The Sun that everybody thought Richard to be gay because he was very theatrical and fashionable. Many people laughed at him because they were jealous. The series revolves around Madden’s character, David Budd, as he works as a protection officer for the controversial home secretary Julia Montague.

The Game of Thrones star is now involved in a new project called ‘Bodyguard’. Bodyguard has enjoyed huge success since it first aired on the BBC on August 26, becoming one of the most watched drama on British TV in a decade, with more than 10 million people tuning into the first episode alone.
