The #WhyIDidntReport hashtag started being used after US President Donald Trump reportedly questioned why survivors of sexual misconduct and violence did not come forward at the time of the incident. In the wake of it the model and actress said that even though her own life was ruined, she had no plans to revenge and to ruin her abuser’s life in return. Harvey Weinstein, the producer and filmmaker, was the one who assaulted Cara. And she spoke out only after figuring out that she was not the only one, and however influential and rich Weinstein was, he should have been stopped before he ruined other people’s life. And as many other sexual assault survivors, Cara felt ashamed of it and did not want to make it public. She needed to take some tine to grow a thick skin before speaking out. Other celebrities have posted their stories of #WhyIDidntReport, including Mira Sorvino and Ashley Judd.
