Actor and trans campaigner Laverne Cox has told trans children that they are divine creatures whom God created with a special purpose. while urging citizens in Massachusetts to vote to retain legal protections for the transgender community, the state plans to hold a referendum concerning this issue soon. Cox was speaking at an event for the Yes on 3 Campaign in Boston hich is being led by national LGBT+ rights group Freedom for All Americans to keep Senate Bill 2407, a law introduced in 2016 and tackles transphobic discrimination in public spaces. Cox said that the fight for basic rights is never over because even when trans people think they have everything they need, there are always those who are ready to take these rights away, as long as these people exist, the battle continues.I stand here before you today and with these folks, and I don’t know how someone can look at the humanity of these incredible people, and say that they do not deserve the same rights as everybody else,” Cox concluded.
