LA woman gatecrashed a drag queen storytelling event

The Cellar Door Bookstore in Riverside, California, was hosting a Halloween story time for children last Saturday, but the woman who was later identified as LA citizen Genevieve Peters addressed the library owner telling her that it was nothing but perversion. “She has invited the public to watch this perversion with these homosexuals,” said Peters in the video published by NBC 4 Los Angeles. “I’m sorry this is what’s happening.” Peters refused to leave the shop even on the security demand, only the police coped with getting her out. The shop owner vowed to hold similar events in the future, adding that she hoped that “the generation that comes up will not have these kinds of fears, hatred and ugliness.” She said that she had received phone calls from people telling her not to hold the drag queens storytelling event in the lead up to the event, but people’s hate has never been a reason for her to stop.
