‘Gay cure therapy’ activist was caught seeking gay sex online

Norman Goldwasser, an Orthodox Jewish therapist in Miami Beach, Florida, had been connected to a number of anti-LGBT groups, the goal of which was to promote the idea that it is possible to change people’s sexuality by means of so-called ‘conversion therapy’ practices, though they have been repeatedly proven to be harmful and ineffective. However, the man fails to ‘cure’ even himself, let alone other people. The group claims that when an activist approached the Manhunt account using a fake pseudonym, Goldwasser offered him to meet in real life to have sex. “It is sad that despite the fact that I have been able to help many people over the years who have suffered from the effects of child sexual abuse and sexual addiction, I obviously was unable to help myself,” he commented, as he was called out. People are free to love whoever they want. If they hate themselves for it – it is their choice (which, actually never leads to anything good, people should learn to accept themselves the way they are and the world will become a better place), but saying that it is possible to change something you don’t like in others when you cannot change the same things in yourself is called hypocrisy
