The Florida-based City Girls rapper, who found fame on Drake track “In My Feelings,” came under fire earlier this year over resurfaced tweets from 2013 in which she wrote that if she had had a son and had noticed some signs of being gay in him, he would have been heavily beaten for it. She was made to apologize for these words, but still said that she would not want to see her son gay.“But that’s just like when your mama tells you, ‘If you break my table I’m gonna beat the shit out of you’… that don’t mean she’s gonna beat the shit out of you, she’s just saying it!” she said? adding that she has a gay cousin and her stylist is gay too, she has no problem with queer people, but she would not wish her son to be one of them. It caused another wave of backlash against her, Twitter users said that if a person is not ready to love and accept her children o matter what, then this person should not have kids at all.
