White supremacist Christopher Cantwell, a prominent far-right figure who attended the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville in 2017, released independent game Angry Goy II on November 11. It is a shooter game in which players are asked to kill “mongrels and degenerates”, to whom the developers count journalists, ethnic minorities, Jews and gay people. The Angry White Men blog, which tracks the far-right online, notes that one level in the game features a mission where players break into gay clubs to start mass shooting. The club inside the game is decorated with Pride flags as well as background items attempting to conflate homosexuality and pedophilia. Signs in the gay club say “CHILDREN WELCOME.” and include references to pedophile group NAMBLA. Cantwell remains free to promote the game on far-right social network Gab, which has become a “hotbed” of extremism and white supremacy due to its lax approach to hate speech. Promoting the game on Gab, Cantwell claimed it was “the season’s hit game for white males who have had it with Jewish bullshit.”
