Halsey slams Victoria’s Secret for the lack of trans inclusion

Singer Halsey has criticized a senior executive at Victoria Secret’s parent company Ed Rezek for saying that the fashion show organizers are creating a fantasy and this fantasy has no place for transgender people. Halsey, who claims to have been a massive fan of the fashion show since the earliest childhood, so she could not remain indifferent to thee words as a representative of the LGBT community herself (Halsey is openly bisexual). She thinks that it is unacceptable to limit LGBT inclusion in society in general; and in fashion industry in part. Halsey urged those watching her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show performance, broadcast on Sunday night (December 2), to donate to Global Social Entrepreneurship Network (GLSEN) to show support to the young queer people. “If you are a trans person reading this, and these comments have made you feel alienated or invalidate please know that you have allies,” added Halsey, “We stand in solidarity, and complete and total acceptance is the only ‘fantasy’ that I support.”
