Courtney Act would love to represent Australia at Eurovision

The gender fluid drag queen confessed that she likes Eurovision Song Contest very much and she is happy that her native Australia has been taking part in it for past few years, even though from the point of view of geography Australia is not Europe. Extending the boarders of Eurovision gives many Aussie artists a chance to show themselves on the Eurovision stage, and Courtney herself wants to be among them – she is due to appear on Eurovision—Australia Decides on February 9 to convince the country that she would represent it perfectly. Courtney is an experienced singer, she took part in a number of singing competitions and won some of them, and the fact that she is a drag queen is rather an advantage than a disadvantage – we all remember Conchita Wurst and her iconic win a few years ago. Courtney Act described her single “Fight For Love” as an anthem for equality. She said: “‘Fight For Love’ is a dancefloor banger all about coming together and fighting for the things we believe in. I think it’s so important to think about the basic human rights of others and to use our collective voices, minds and bodies to lift those people up and bring about change.”
