A website called Trans Lives Matter has reported that a 28-year-old transgender woman named Sheilla Prado has committed suicide on January 20th January in Tubarao, Santa Catarina. She jumped into the river after being cornered by the two pimps who were threatening her, he body was found in a few days. However, according to the local reports there were no evidence that the woman might be forced to take her own life. Prado had recently been voted as Miss Trans Porto Alegre in Rio Grande do Sul.
