Miley Cyrus says that her opposite-sex marriage is not contrary her queerness

Miley Cyrus has said that marrying Liam Hemsworth has not stopped her from being proudly pansexual. A queer woman is still a queer woman, even in relationships with a man (who loves her fully and unconditionally, valuating and appreciating every part of her personality, including her queer identity). “It has nothing to do with sexuality,” she explained. “Relationships and partnerships in a new generation—I don’t think they have so much to do with sexuality or gender. Sex is actually a small part, and gender is a very small, almost irrelevant part of relationships,” the now-wife says. She notes that she loves her husband Liam not for being a man or representing himself as a man, not for having sex with him as a man (though from this point of view their relationships are also excellent, Miley ensures), she loves him for being Liam – her soulmate, with whom she is connected on a spiritual level, gender, body and anatomy are secondary
