Joe Biden has responded to criticism from figures including Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon after he called anti-gay Vice President Mike Pence “a decent guy.” The remarks, which were about Pence’s appearance at the Munich Security Conference last month, angered those people who know about the strict anti-LGBT position of the current VP. Lesbian actress-turned-politician Cynthia Nixon was one of those who hit out at Biden’s comments saying that they just don’t fall on the ears of the community she personally represents. “I was making a point in a foreign policy context, that under normal circumstances a Vice President wouldn’t be given a silent reaction on the world stage,” Biden told Nixon, adding that looking at this situation from her perspective he understood that she was right and she thanked him for the respond. “But please understand from where we sit, his dehumanising of our community disqualifies @MikePence for the honorific of ‘decent,’ regardless of the context,” she added
