Greater Manchester Police have released a CCTV image of an alleged suspect in the case of three men being attacked in attempted carjackings in the area on March 26th. All of them were connected with a perpetrator on gay dating app Grindr. One of the victims was heavily stabbed. The assailant, who was sitting in the car, threatened the man in his 20s, whose name is not revealed due to legal reasons, while the car was parked, ordering him to hand over his car keys. When the victim refused, he was stabbed several times. The man survived, but he required hospitalization and doctors are making no prognoses about his possible recovery so far. The assailant fled from the scene of the crime on foot, heading towards High Bank Road. Police have linked the incident to two other carjacking attempts, both happened the day before, one of the victims also was attacked with a knife and hospitalized, but in this case the injuries were not considered life-threatening.
