Mike Pence hits back at Pete Buttigieg


The VP told CNBC that the gay presidential hopeful had said critical things about Christianity and Mr. Pence personally. “And he knows better. He knows me,” he added. “But I get it. You know, it’s – look, again, 19 people running for president on that side in a party that’s sliding off to the left. And they’re all competing with one another for how much more liberal they are,” said Pence. Buttigieg’s Victory Fund speech indeed included Mr. Pence’s name, the former mayor of Indiana city said the former Governor of the same state would have a problem with that fact that Buttigieg is gay, because there are people who, like Mike Pence, think that homosexuality is a chosen lifestyle which goes against Christianity, though Buttigieg did not choose to be gay and he still believes in God, and thinks that God blessed him with the love of his life – his husband Chasten. “If me being gay was a choice, it was made far, far above my pay grade.That’s the thing that I wish the Mike Pences of the world would understand – that if you got a problem with who I am—your problem is not with me, your quarrel sir, is with my creator,” said the politician
