In the video he is heard saying that it is the first opportunity for him to tell his family and friends that he is a gay son of God and he loves it. “I am not broken. I am loved and important in the plan of our great creator. Each of us are [sic]. Four years ago, it would have been impossible for me to imagine that I would come out to my entire college. It is a phenomenal feeling,” he said. During the six-minute speech, Easton also said that his terminally ill mom taught him to appreciate what is really important in life.
