Embattled YouTube sensation and make-up artist James Charles is accused of asking a straight YouTuber whether he was sure of not being attracted to men. Carmie Sellitto claims he met Charles, who was recently accused of inappropriate behaviour with straight men, in July 2018 while attending a YouTuber convention called VideoCon in Anaheim, California. The 20-year-old youtuber said he had seen Charles at the party and he was staring at him all the time. Sellitto, who is from London, said that he talked to Charles for “about 30 minutes” and the two followed each other on social media. Charles started flirting with him and calling him hot, he was not rude or something, but Sellitto considered it necessary to clarify that he was not interested in him from the romantic point of view because he was straight. “But James made me question myself. He asked me, ‘Are you sure you aren’t gay or bi? Are you sure?’” Sellitto claimed, adding that when he said he was sure, Charles unfollowed him everywhere except Twitter, of which he apparently forgot.
