Troye Sivan has teased fans on Instagram with news of a new LGBT+ music festival curated by him and his ‘1999’ collaborator Charli XCX. Go West Fest will take place on June 6 in Los Angeles and will be “a new kind of pride festival,” says the gay Aussie singer, noting that he had been working for this project for several months and was very excited that he no longer needed to hide it from the public. He added that this festival will be unlike what people might have seen before and its main aim is to celebrate “the inclusivity, artistry, music, kinks, merchants, and creativity of the LGBTQ community, while really giving back to our community.” Joining Sivan and Charli XCX are Chika, Pussy Riot, Gia Gunn, Allie X, Carlie Hanson, DJ Alima Lee and many more. Tickets will go on sale this Friday (May 17), with proceeds going to GLAAD.
