Fans disliked the title of The L Word reboot

The L Word: Generation Q will continue the story of Bette, Alice and Shane alongside “a new generation of self-possessed LGBTQIA characters experiencing love, heartbreak, sex, setbacks and success in Los Angeles,” Showtime reports, insisting that the new series should rather be treated as a sequel than a reboot of the series, and the subtitle Generation Q is likely to mean that the show is going to cover much more issues than life of cis gay women. But as it turns out, not all fans of the original series are ready for these changes. “The title of this reboot is high cringe,” said one Twitter user, “I’m calling it right now, lesbians will not be very prevalent in this new show,” another one added. “It should be subtitled “Turns Out Dana [one of the characters of the original series who tragically died – GNE] Is Fine It Was Just The Flu,” the third one added. Showrunner Marja-Lewis Ryan has said that the new iteration will “honour the spirit of the first series and make it more inclusive.”
