Woman pushed an anti-gay priest off stage when he was preaching


A woman in Brazilian city of Sao Paolo passed by the security and pushed a homophobic priest off stage when he was serving. According to HuffPost Brasil the 32-year-old woman, whose name has not been released, was restrained by police and taken to a station. It is not clear why she acted like this, but if to believe the local journalists, she wanted to talk to him about her views on what he preached and how. Priest Marcelo Rossi has made many statements reported by Brazilian media relating to LGBT+ people. He is very popular and influential in the Roman-Catholic country. He repeatedly called homosexuality a sin and an illness, saying that God had created a man and a woman to unite and to reproduce. The incident was broadcast on TV and happened in front of an audience of 50,000 people. After he was pushed, Rossi said: “Don’t worry, I’m fine, just some mild pain. That’s normal, nothing’s broken. Amen.”
