Woman punched in the face in a hate crime attack may lose her eyesight forever

The woman in her 20s was battered in the back and front of her head in Bournemouth, England. She suffered swelling to the eye socket and had to receive medical treatment. The doctors say that her vision is likely to have been affected permanently. PC Rebecca Walker-Date, of Bournemouth police, said that the motive of the crime is yet to be proven, but the victim identifies within the LGBT spectrum, so she believes that she was attacked because of sexuality. “I am issuing a CCTV image of a man I would like to speak to as he may have been in the area at the time of the assault and have information to assist my investigation,” she added in her statement, “I would urge anyone who recognizes him to please get in touch.”
