In an interview with ITV’s Paul Brand, Johnson was asked whether he thinks it should be taught about LGBT equality in all schools, the response was affirmative. When the journalist pressed asking whether there could be any exceptions from this rule or any specific conditions for it to be applied, the PM responded that he does not see the need in any specific conditions and exceptions cannot be made. When asked about protests outside schools earlier this year over LGBT+ program, Mr. Johnson noted that the UK is a country with a free speech when people can think whatever they want and to express it, but when it comes to disrupting the process of education, it cannot be tolerated: “I don’t think [the protestors] have the right to disrupt teaching, to disrupt education, and I think we should carry on with confidence and determination and insist on our values because they’re entirely right.”
