Protesters stormed drag queen storytelling event and terrified kids

Between 15 and 20 protestors from the University of Queensland’s Liberal National Club interrupted the event at Brisbane Square Library, where two drag queens read stories to minors. Video footage shows a drag queen confronting protestors as they repeatedly shout that the events of such kind were not or children, though they chose much ruder verbal means. “You do not have permission to film me,” one protestor orders the person behind the camera, although the Australian law does not demand to ask a person’s permission for filming if it happens in public places. The incident was witnessed by a friend of The Veronicas singer Jessica Origliasso, who accompanied her friend and her daughter. She commented the incident on Instagram, saying that everybody was left distressed, especially kids.
