Painter Duncan Grant made a huge contribute to LGBT history. Painter was a member of Bloomsbury Group. It was a group of English artists in the 20st century. Duncan Granthad romances with men. Painter was once a bit love of John Maynard Keynes. Grant’s art works were unforgettable. He gave his friend Edward Le Bas 420 paintings as a small remembrance. It was on the 2nd of May 1959. All these paintings were erotic. There was a not on them: “Very private”. As it turned out, there was unique collection of art works that depicted gay sex and fascinating male forms. People believed that these drawings were destroyed. According to the rumours, sister of Edward Le Bas destroyed collection. But somebody saved them and passed to the next people. It lasted during 60 years. Norman Coates,theatre designer, was the last person who cared the collection. Today you can enjoy these drawings at the country house of Grant and Vanessa Bell belonging to Charleston Trust.
