Reynhard Sinaga was recently imprisoned for 136 rapes and several attempted rapes and sexual assaults – perpetrated against men he lured from outside Manchester nightclubs. Saibun Sinaga, the father of the criminal, made the only statement for BBC, saying that the family completely accepts his verdict, considering it to be completely appropriate in correspondence with all the crimes he had committed. The father made it clear that there won’t be any further comments in press about it. Sinaga, an ethnic Indonesian, had come to the UK in 2007 as an international student, and remained in academia for more than a decade, with his family paying his student fees while he targeted men in the city. Friends of Sinaga’s from Indonesia had said he was “flamboyant and popular”.
