It’s so beautiful: some buildings in Poland have been illuminated with rainbow colours, and it’s nothing more but display of solidarity with queer community of the country. As we know, Poland is not very LGBT-friendly country; some regions became unwelcoming for queer people. Moreover, there are even some LGBT free zones from February 2020. Country’s president Andrzej Duda has been re-elected in July; he targeted the queer community during campaign but people elected him again. But there are some citizens that still try to support LGBT community; people from Wroclaw, Poznan, Gdansk and Warsaw decided to light up some building in their cities. In such way, they wanted to express solidarity with queer community in Poland. Rafal Trzaskowski, Warsaw’s mayor, ordered tolight upPalace of Culture. Some activists were sure that it’s not enough; they demanded to do something more important for community.
