One Polish LGBT-free zone lost millions. Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway decided to cancel their prestigious grant. Podkarpackie (region in the southeast of Poland) wanted to get a grant that offers $2.25 million. It should be culture and natural heritage project of European Union. However, region’s resolution of 2019 made it impossible; this resolution expressed opposition of LGBT movements in the region. The decision about grant withdrawal came to light on the 2nd of February. According to Norwegian official, Podkarpackiediscriminates against LGBT community and its ideology. Tanks to this grant, the route through the Carpathian Mountains should be enhanced; it should protect the cultural and natural wealth of this Podkarpackie. And now, instead of this route, it will be the most expensive LGBT-free zone in the country.
