An Emily In Paris writerDeborah Copaken expressed her meaning about the situation when the Golden Globes snubbed Michaela Coel’s I May Destroy You. This is a drama television series that is well known for its mostly-Black cast. I May Destroy You handles issues of ape and the aftermath of sexual trauma. This drama was on the top lists of the last year. But the thing is I May Destroy You wasn’t nominated for the Golden Globes. However, Emily In Paris nomination confused many people. Copaken found it unfair that a show about a white American rankles. She said I May Destroy Youdeserves to win all the awards. She added this show was important for her because she is sexual assault survivor herself and there are a lot of people like her who found this series important. Copaked praised Micheal Coel. She added she has no idea how these decisions are made.
