Richard Hammond is annoyed that The Grand Tour has a homophobic reputation

One of the hosts of the show that repeatedly came under fire for joking about LGBT people in a disrespectful manner accused the complaining watchers of looking to be offended. “If someone takes something as homophobic… I don’t want to cause offence. To say, ‘Oh we need to be really careful not to be homophobic’ would say that we are, so we’re not going to try and set out to avoid that sort of thing because we’re not,” he told Metro.

To make it clear, yes, it is possible to use hateful words towards any minority community without actually being against it – this is what we call unawareness. But if people are not homophobic/sexist/racist/ableist and so on, they will apologize for their wrongdoing and try their best not to repeat it again, while Mr. Hammond and his co-hosts keep mocking the LGBT community over and over again and only get annoyed when someone calls them out for it.
